The Business Law Reform Study Groups include business professionals, state legislators, attorneys, CPAs, and other Mississippians who have been selected by the Secretary of State to analyze issues in their areas of experience and recommend new laws in these areas. In addition to issuing recommendations, study group members help develop their recommendations into legislative proposals, and often review the proposals with state legislators.
A study group to examine needed changes to Mississippi’s trusts and estate laws has been formed. Additional groups and members will be announced soon.
Visiting the various study groups’ web pages will allow you to view the agenda and read the minutes of each meeting. In addition, copies of enacted legislation and supplemental information produced by the Division will be posted from time to time on each page.
