The Limited Liability Company (LLC) Laws Study Group was organized in the summer of 2009 by the Secretary of State’s Office as a continuation of the review of the LLC laws conducted in 2008 by the Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Laws Study Group.

The Study Group is currently considering a number of changes to the Mississippi Limited Liability Company Act, and will make its final recommendations to the Mississippi Legislature later this year. The Group has recommended that LLCs be required to file annual reports with the Secretary of State’s Office, similar to the annual reports filed by corporations. Final recommendations will be posted on this site for public viewing.
