    Jackson.—Voter ID will be in effect beginning with the June 3, 2014 Primary Election. Any voter casting a ballot at the polls on June 3rd will be required to show an acceptable form of photo ID.

The Secretary of State’s Office will close its 700 North Street location as of 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, and will reopen for business at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, at Capital Towers, located at 125 South Congress Street. The Business Services, Charities, Finance & Administration, Human Resources, Information Services, Public Lands, Regulation & Enforcement and Securities divisions will be relocating to Capital Towers. Phone numbers and P.O. Box address will NOT change. On Friday, April 24, individuals needing to conduct Secretary of State business will need to visit the office at 401 Mississippi Street. The Secretary of State’s Office will not be able to accept expedited corporate or LLC filings after 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, and on Friday, April 25. Monday, April 28, is a state holiday and all office locations will be closed.
