Qualifications

A qualified elector for and from the Court of Appeals District in which election is sought (residency), at least 30 years of age, a practicing attorney, and a citizen of the State for five years immediately preceding the election. Miss. Const. of 1890, Art. 6, §150.

Non-Partisan Judicial Candidates file a Statement of Intent, Affidavit of Judicial Candidate and a $200 qualifying fee to the Secretary of State's Office.
