New Voter Registration Deadline for Primary Election

JACKSON, Miss. – Any Mississippian who has yet to register to vote must register by Monday, February 12, in order to vote in the 2024 Primary Election. Races on the March 12, ballot include offices of President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. Representative.

2024 Presidential Primary Absentee Report (Feb. 20)

JACKSON, Miss – As of Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the Statewide Election Management System (SEMS) reported a total of 4,592 absentee ballots requested, 4,358 absentee ballots sent, and 1,957 absentee ballots received in the state of Mississippi for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election. 


Races on the March 12 ballot include offices of President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. Representative.

2024 Presidential Primary Absentee Report (Feb. 26)

JACKSON, Miss – As of Monday, February 26, 2024, the Statewide Election Management System (SEMS) reported a total of 5,958 absentee ballots requested, 5,742 absentee ballots sent, and 3,380 absentee ballots received in the state of Mississippi for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election. 


Races on the March 12 ballot include offices of President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. Representative.

Saturday In-Person Absentee Voting Begins

JACKSON, Miss. — Circuit clerk offices will be open from 8:00 a.m. to noon for in-person absentee voting this Saturday, March 2, 2024.

The last day to vote in-person absentee is Saturday, March 9, 2024, on which circuit clerk offices will be open from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

All mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by March 12 and received by county circuit clerk offices by March 19.

2024 Presidential Primary Absentee Report (March 4)

JACKSON, Miss – As of Monday, March 4, 2024, the Statewide Election Management System (SEMS) reported a total of 9,631 absentee ballots requested, 9,450 absentee ballots sent, and 6,863 absentee ballots received in the state of Mississippi for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election. 


Races on the March 12 ballot include offices of President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. Representative.

Presidential Primary Election Day Reminders

JACKSON, Miss. – Mississippi's Presidential Primary Election Day is one week away. The March 12 ballot includes offices of President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. Representative.

To familiarize yourself with the upcoming election, visit the My Election Day portal to receive election information tailored to your specific address.

Polls for the Primary Election will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. Any voter in line at 7:00 p.m. is legally entitled to cast a ballot. 

Presidential Primary Republican Ballot Update

JACKSON, Miss. – With this morning’s announcement by Governor Nikki Haley to suspend her campaign for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election, she joins Governor Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy as candidates who qualified to appear on the March 12 ballot but have since withdrawn from the election.
