JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office urges the business community, especially LLCs, to be cautious of misleading mailers distributed by third-party entities urging Annual Report filings.
These mailers typically request a fee and appear to be official government correspondence. All business owners should be sure to read the fine print as this correspondence is not authorized by the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office.

In-Person Absentee Voting
Municipal Clerk's Offices will be open this Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until noon for in-person absentee voting for the Municipal Primary Election.
The last day to vote in-person absentee is Saturday, March 29, 2025. Municipal Clerk's Offices will be open from 8:00 a.m. until noon.
JACKSON, Miss. – Mississippi's 2025 Municipal Primary Election Day is less than 24 hours away. The April 1 ballot features municipal offices across the state.
Polls for the Municipal Primary will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. Any voter in line at 7:00 p.m. is legally entitled to cast a ballot.

The last day to vote in-person absentee is Saturday, April 19. Municipal Clerk's Offices will be open from 8:00 a.m. until noon.

To be eligible to vote in the June 3 General Election, you must register in-person by May 5, 2025. All mailed voter registration applications must be postmarked by May 5, 2025.

The Student Ambassador Program equips high school seniors with the knowledge and resources to engage as leaders within their schools and communities. This year's group of Ambassadors consists of 74 students from 55 schools in 28 counties across all four congressional districts.
JACKSON, Miss – The Office of the Mississippi Secretary of State has opened investigations into two of the nation’s largest proxy advisory firms, Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS) and Glass Lewis.
The Securities Division is investigating whether the firms are recommending votes for climate-related shareholder proposals which do not enhance or protect shareholder value. The promotion of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors would be in direct violation of their fiduciary duty and conflict with previous statements issued by the companies.
