JACKSON, Miss. – As a reminder, Mississippians need to be aware of upcoming important dates and deadlines for the November 4 elections.
JACKSON, Miss. – Mississippi's next Election Day on Tuesday, November 4, is one week away.
Polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. Any voter in line at 7:00 p.m. is legally entitled to cast a ballot.
Just over three years ago, our team launched the Mississippi Businesses Against Trafficking (MBAT) initiative. At the time, Texas and Iowa were the only other states with similar programs in their Secretary of State’s Offices.
Today, through continuous dialogue and persistence across the National Association of Secretaries of State, I’m proud to say six other southern states have since joined our efforts to create a force across the Southeast.
JACKSON, Miss. – Pursuant to Mississippi Code Section 23-15-817, the Secretary of State’s Office is required to publish a list of all candidates for Statewide or Legislative Office who failed to file a campaign disclosure report by the dates specified in Section 23-15-807(b).
Individuals who failed to timely file their campaign finance report by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, and still have not filed their report to date include:

JACKSON, Miss. – As part of the Secretary of State's Check Your Charity campaign, the 2025 Report on Charitable Organizations has been released. The annual report details items such as total revenue, fundraising expenses, and charitable purpose expenses of Mississippi charities.
BILOXI, Miss. – On behalf of the Gulf Coast legislative delegation, Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson presented the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) with a check for $6,390,400, representing the Tidelands Trust Funds amounts collected during Fiscal Year 2025 (for use during Fiscal Year 2026) and appropriated in Senate Bill 2037 during the 2025 Legislative Session.
