The UCC Study Group was formed to consider the adoption of the Uniform Laws Commission’s 2010 amendments to Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. The Group recommended adopting the 2010 amendments to Article 9, and chose individual debtor name “Alternative A”. The Group also recommended the 2012 amendments to Article 4A as well as a non-uniform amendment to Article 2 previously recommended by the 2009 UCC and Debtor-Creditor Laws Study Group. The Group also provided feedback to the Secretary of State regarding proposed legislation to curb bogus UCC filings.
