As a reminder, Periodic Campaign Finance Reports are due in the appropriate office for 2023 candidates and political committees supporting or opposing 2023 candidates by 5:00 p.m. on June 9, 2023.

These reports may either be filed electronically through the Secretary of State's campaign finance online filing system or by paper, filed with the Secretary of State by mail, email or fax prior to the applicable reporting deadline.

It was recently announced that Mississippi reached a record-low unemployment rate in April for the second consecutive month. JACKSON, Miss. — Secretary of State Michael Watson is pleased to announce a virtual Mississippi Businesses Against Trafficking (MBAT) Summit to be held the morning of July 24, 2023.

In collaboration with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI), the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Center for Human Trafficking Research and Training (CHRT), and the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) this virtual event will feature leading experts in human trafficking with an emphasis in labor trafficking.
