JACKSON, Miss – In conjunction with the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC), Secretary of State Michael Watson proclaims August 1, 2024, as National Poll Worker Recruitment Day. This day of action is meant to assist poll worker recruitment efforts throughout Mississippi and across the nation ahead of the November General Election.

2024 Election Qualifying Deadlines
JACKSON, Miss. – The qualifying deadline for political party nominee and independent candidates for the office of President of the United States is Friday, September 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
All candidates for the offices of County School Board, Municipal Separate School District Trustee, Special Municipal Separate School District Trustee or Consolidated/Consolidated Line School District Trustee must also submit qualifying paperwork by Friday, September 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
Absentee Ballot Applications Now Available for the November General Election
JACKSON, Miss. – Absentee ballot applications are now available in Circuit Clerk's Offices for the November 5, 2024, General Election. Absentee ballots will be available starting September 23, 2024.
