JACKSON, Miss. – Secretary of State Michael Watson urges Mississippians to exercise caution when donating to a charity or fundraiser as there has been an uptick in activity from fraudulent charities operating in Mississippi.
JACKSON, Miss. – Secretary of State Michael Watson joins fellow members of the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) in proclaiming September as National Voter Registration Month. During the month of September, the Secretary of State's Office, government agencies, and organizations across the nation will promote the importance of voting and the significance of keeping your voter registration information up-to-date.

All candidates for the offices of County School Board, Municipal Separate School District Trustee, Special Municipal Separate School District Trustee or Consolidated/Consolidated Line School District Trustee must also submit qualifying paperwork by Friday, September 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
JACKSON, Miss. – Absentee ballot applications are now available in Circuit Clerk's Offices for the November 5, 2024, General Election. Absentee ballots will be available starting September 23, 2024.

Note: The order of the sample ballot was set forth by the State Board of Election Commissioners in accordance with Miss. Code Ann. Section 23-15-367, which provides nominees of political parties shall be listed first and organized alphabetically by candidate last name. After political party nominees, independent candidates are listed alphabetically by candidate last name.
